I am so glad that you found your way to the new and improved Minnesota Penny Pincher website.
You’ve probably noticed that things have been a little quiet on the old site. That’s because I’ve been hard at work creating a new home for us here at http://mnpennypincher.com.
My readership grew so much within the first few months of launching Minnesota Penny Pincher that I decided that I better move to a self-hosted website. I also did quite a bit of research and learned that the WordPress platform and the Thesis theme would allow for more personalization on the site so I’ve switched that over as well. These changes are just the beginning of the good things that are to come!

I received a sample of Secret Clinical Strength anti-perspirant / deodorant in the advanced solid light and fresh scent. The sample did come in a box similar to the one pictured above. Both the box and the actual anti-perspirant / deodorant container featured attractive fonts and simple lines in complimentary colors that were attractive to the eye. With that being said, I really felt that the box was unnecessary and just added to the waste that we all struggle to free ourselves from in our journey to become waste-free. I really hope that Secret re-thinks their marketing plan on this product and gets rid of the box!
Even though it is recommended that this product be applied at night, I made every attempt to sample this product at different times of the day:
immediately upon receiving the product (even though I already had another brand of anti-perspirant / deodorant on from earlier in the morning)
immediately after my shower the following morning
later the following day after an afternoon shower
a couple of days later after a bed-time shower
Secret Clinical Strength anti-perspirant / deodorant performed very well for me. I do not regularly use the solid form of an anti-perspirant / deodorant since I much prefer the clear gels so this product was a ‘step outside the box’ for me. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth this product was to apply – it was very creamy and left no solid residue. In addition, the scent was truly light and fresh and not overwhelming at all.
I’ve never had a problem with regular strength products not providing adequate coverage for me so I don’t believe that I am the right person to attest to its performance as a clinical strength product that provides prescription-strength protection for the most demanding body chemistries. However, the product did perform as promised on the Secret website, providing 24-hour coverage after its application.
In searching for this product on the web, the price-point does seem a bit high; but again, I’m not familiar with the price-points of prescription-strength products.
In closing, I would recommend new Secret Clinical Strength to others, especially those needing a prescription-strength product, depending upon the price-point.
